The Riverland Farmers' Market is a non-profit organisation with the goal of promoting local producers and their produce which at the same time will benefit local consumers with products that can be acquired directly from their source of origin.
At the Riverland Farmers' Market we aim to grow what we sell! There is a great sense of community at the market which provides a meeting place and a forum to share ideas and advice on local produce and products. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to offer locally grown seasonal vegetables, fruits, wines, even flowers and plants. In addition to this, while you purchase your fresh produce (and we have organically grown produce too!) you can also enjoy tasty bakery items such as woodfire oven breads and pizza bases, biscuits and a variety of multicultural delicacies which window our Riverland heritage. We are proud of the fact that the best of this is produced locally. There is more: fresh local eggs and honey, fresh olives and locally produced olive oil, locally reared emu. Our rich multicultural heritage at the Riverland means that we can offer a wonderful choice of Italian, Greek, Indian and Gluten Free delicacies, just to mention a few. To find out who is at the market this weekend simply click on the "stallholders" button.
We invite everyone to support the Riverland Farmers' Markets and to join Food Riverland - also, annual organisers of "Chefs on the River Murray" event. Choose fresh and locally produced produce as opposed to products that have travelled countless of KMs to sit tired and distressed on supermarket shelves with their point of origin often unknown. Ready meals loaded with additives and preservatives cannot be compared with the delicacies our local producers have produced for the market ready to take away. By supporting Farmers' Markets we are upgrading the quality of choices available to us.
There is free customer parking available when you come and visit us right next to the market.
P.S. Our market breakfast is yummy and we are reputed to have one of the best coffees in the Riverland! See you all at the market! Another way to follow what's happening at our market is by joining our Riverland Farmers' Market Facebook Group.
